About The Position

The Fleet Mechanic 2 is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Company fleet equipment to include, class 1-8 diesel and gasoline trucks, trailers, pallet jacks, and forklifts by performing the essential job duties. Requirements

Minimum 21 years old
Good work record
Good attendance
Dependable with a good attitude
Good safety record
The ability to receive and follow instructions
The ability to work well and get along with other employees and/or customers
In the event of drivers, to have a good MVR
Must be able to pass the Company physical
Must have a neat appearance
Must have made a living three (3) years as a vehicle mechanic (verifiable)
Must have own tools for cars and large trucks
Must be able to obtain a CDL A classification licenses within thirty (30) days after hire or transfer into the position, absent extenuating circumstances
Must be able to pass the company general driving test before hire and specific driving test after training
Must be able to pass DOT physical

Responsibilities

Perform various preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on all types of fleet equipment
Troubleshoots mechanical and electronic malfunctions, perform all types of repairs, rebuild/replace major equipment components
Perform emergency roadside services as needed
Research and order parts, accurately record usage, and asset in managing stock inventory
Complete electronic work orders, ensure all information is recorded in computerized maintenance system
Assist team members with troubleshooting & repairs, researching parts, and inspecting equipment
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all Good Manufacturing Practices
