About The Position

The incumbent in this role is responsible for planning, assigning, and inspecting work performed by production staff. This involves supervising the work of technical professionals, support personnel, and others associated with departmental projects; managing the day-to-day operations at any one of the various Fleet Management repair facilities which provide service to a variety of light and/or heavy mobile equipment; monitoring various work assignments, inspecting completed repairs, and managing the parts inventory at the facility. Other responsibilities include communicating effectively with technical professionals, supporting personnel regarding work assignments, and establishing productivity goals and job standards to provide an adequate level of service to our customers and division operations staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two years of experience in the skilled maintenance and repair of light equipment and/or heavy equipment in an automotive repair or service operation are required.
  • Must obtain a CDL/Class A prior to the completion of the probationary period.
  • Must possess a Refrigerant Certification from an EPA-approved technician program in accordance with EPA, Section 609 of the Clean Air Act OR obtain the certification within 6 months of employment.
