About The Position

Gordon Food Service is the largest family-operated foodservice business in North America, with over 125 years of delivering quality service. The company serves customers from restaurants to healthcare and education across the U.S. and Canada through its distribution network and over 180 retail stores. This position is for a Diesel Technician within one of Gordon Food Service's 11 fleet shops across the US, which maintain over 3,000 tractors and trailers (reefer units) for their private, company-owned fleet. The role is crucial as customers depend on the fleet for daily deliveries. The company offers extensive onboarding and continuous training, pays hourly rates (not flat rates), provides lifts for safety, a clean organized parts room, and heavier specialty tools, while technicians bring basic tools. Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Valid, unrestricted state-issued driver's license
• Ability to communicate in English (writing, speaking, and reading)
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
• Pass pre-employment drug tests

Nice To Haves

• Diesel tractor trailer experience preferred
