About The Position

The Fleet Maintenance Mechanic performs mechanic and maintenance work on the company fleet, including preventative maintenance and repairs on other industrial mobile equipment as needed.

Requirements

• Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• One to two years' experience in industrial vehicle repairs.
• Experience in preventative maintenance using tools, equipment, and repairs.
• Ability to reach and comprehend technical manuals.
• Valid and current driver's license required
• Must be able to lift to 50lbs
• Must be able to operate lift assist equipment
• Requires occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
• Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to safety access the underside of equipment (and mobile equipment) as needed for maintenance and repairs
• Must have State Certification or Journeyman License (may consider 8 or more years of experience in lieu of the Journeymens License - if candidate presents applicable experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and other defects on battery powered equipment.
• Repair and replace body components on company fleet, and other industrial equipment/mobile production support equipment.
• Changes oil, filters, lubricates chassis, and other preventative maintenance repairs as well as any other required inspections
• Performs work on tires, batteries and support equipment
• Assist other technicians as needed
• Keeping shop and equipment clean, safe, and organized.
• Understand environmental aspects and impacts of the job and follow environmental guidelines as established in the company EMS
