Requirements

  • High school diploma or Massachusetts High School Equivalency Certificate
  • 2–3 years of fleet inventory experience and related office, warehouse, retail, or fleet repair background; Minimum of 1 year of general office experience or equivalent training.
  • Working knowledge of fleet computerized asset management systems; Strong knowledge of inventory control, purchasing procedures, barcoding, warehouse systems, and tools, supplies, and equipment used in fleet repair operations.
  • Proficiency with inventory and asset management software, procurement databases, and standard PC applications; ability to rapidly learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures parts are consistently available through cost‑effective, organized inventory management aligned with policy standards.
  • Maintains accurate fleet inventory records and updates fleet management systems daily to support preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Assists with stockroom operations and vendor interactions, ensuring parts are properly received, stored, tracked, and issued.
  • Supports fleet operations through data analysis, reporting, and a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
