About The Position

Reyes Fleet Management is hiring immediately at our Reyes Coca Cola Bottling facility in Alsip, IL. Seeking a Fleet Diesel Mechanic A to help with repairs and maintenance on trailer/tractor equipment. Shift: Full-Time l 2nd Shift 2:00PM-10:30PM Monday - FridayPay: $36.68/HR CDL Incentive Pay (Additional $1.00/per hour with active CDL A license)-Preferred but not required Perks and Benefits: Incentive pay Eligibility 0.25 per T Series ASE certification -Maximum $2.00 per hour Paid Time off and holiday pay Career advancement opportunities after 6 months of employment Health, dental, and vision coverage Reyes Rewards and referral bonuses Union Benefits Position Responsibilities: The Fleet Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and overhaul of fleet diesel equipment, as well as the diagnostics and rebuilding of clutches and brake systems As a Fleet Technician, you will complete thorough documentation for work orders related to repairs and preventative maintenance using the online AssetWorks system You will operate a company vehicle to diagnose and repair equipment as part of roadside service calls You will ensure that equipment has the required licensing and registration before being deemed "roadworthy" You will install, replace, and repair onboard computers (XRS or XataNet) and/or cameras (DriveCam) You will work in accordance with company, local, state, and federal policies and regulations to ensure safety Other duties as assigned Essential Information for Our Employees At the Reyes Family of Businesses, our Total Rewards Strategy prioritizes the holistic well-being of our employees, and our compensation philosophy embraces diverse factors for fair pay decisions, valuing skills, experience, and the needs of our business. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 3 plus years of related experience
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, occasionally lift 100 pounds
  • Must possess own tools (have minimum tool requirement)
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
