Requirements

  • Coursework/training or experience related to research, presentation, or publication in an area related to the programs or functions of the employing agency; business administration; accounting; customer service; and/ or technical support work, including use of computer software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required.
  • Knowledge of: Program-administrative policies and guidelines of the employing agency. Administrative and office processes and procedures, and associated computer applications such as word processing, file management, record keeping, and database management. Customer service processes and principles. Specialized processes and terminology associated with assigned work.
  • Skills in: Active listening, asking questions, and understanding instructions. Using word processing, creating spreadsheets, charts, graphs, and reports. Manage time, schedules, and priorities. Monitor and assess program performance. Apply critical thinking techniques.
  • Ability to: Communicate/exchange information and ideas with others effectively and work together to formulate ideas in a team environment for a common goal. Interpret and apply policies, procedures, and regulations. Create charts, graphs, and/or reports using word processing or other computer applications. Summarize technical data and results of research into reports. Track and monitor information. Retrieve information from a variety of sources. Coordinate resources and people. Nice To Haves

  • Experience with problem-solving, formulating, and recommending alternative courses of action.

  • Experience with Excel, Word Processing, asset management systems, JDEdwards/E1, and the State Computer system preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to all fleet unit Managers and assist with recordkeeping and projects.
  • Interact with equipment vendors and staff in our districts throughout Nebraska.
  • Work within a team to create and maintain the detailed Heavy Equipment inventory, using budgeting and tracking spreadsheets and various programs, which include E1/JD Edwards and Lucity.
  • Read and interpret State Equipment Contracts, ensuring the correct costs before processing the new equipment.
  • Process documentation for new equipment, including payment of invoices, licensing, titles, registration, insurance, warranties, specifications, recalls, preventative maintenance, and fuel cards.
  • Support the Fuel System Manager by researching, problem-solving, and documenting fuel purchases for State vehicles.
  • Process incoming equipment in preparation for the Surplus Auction.
  • Run reports and problem-solve to ensure accuracy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
