This position’s primary responsibility will include supervising the assembly, disassembly, overhaul, repair and adjustment of crushing and processing equipment.

Requirements

Experienced on all types of crushers (Cone, Jaw and Gyro)with minimum of 5 years experience.
Knowledge; able to understand, interpret and apply policies and procedures; knowledge and understanding of MSHA rules and regulations; able to motivate and reward employees; able to develop and establish performance measurements for department; good organization and business planning skills; excellent problem-solving skills and practices. Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as leadership and teambuilding skills. Ability to work well without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

Safety, Health, and Environmental. The Crusher Mechanic Supervisor is responsible for assuring compliance with all internal and external laws, regulations, and policies regarding safety, health, and the environment within the assigned area.
Employee Relations. The Crusher Mechanic Supervisor directs the activities of the crusher mechanic crew. This includes training, scheduling, assigning tasks, evaluating performance, and when necessary, disciplinary procedures. The Crusher Mechanic Supervisor approves the time cards of the crew and makes sure each employee’s time is accurate and charged to the correct cost account.
Cost Control. The Crusher Mechanic Supervisor continuously evaluates the performance and the effectiveness of the crew to look for opportunities for improvement. The Crusher Mechanic Supervisor should implement improvements within his/her scope of authority as soon as possible. Improvements requiring management approval should be presented to the manager with sufficient detail to justify cost.
