About The Position

The Department Fidelity’s Fixed Income Division is one of the world’s leading fixed income managers with over $1 trillion in fixed income assets managed by a staff of more than 190 investment professionals. At Fidelity, we combine fundamental research on domestic and international debt issuers with macroeconomic and quantitative analysis to make investment decisions and help our clients achieve their financial goals. The Fixed Income Division is headquartered in Merrimack, New Hampshire. The Position The Fixed Income research associate program is designed to recruit talented, industrious candidates to support Fidelity’s bond and money market investment processes and train them with the foundational skills to launch successful careers in investing. In this associate role, you will support the work of senior analysts on the Fixed Income research team to: (i) provide in-depth coverage of assigned sectors; (ii) build and maintain financial models; (iii) draft and produce research material; (iv) maintain robust and accurate data; (v) communicate credit opinions; and (vi) generate investment ideas. You will interact regularly with analysts, portfolio managers and traders across a variety of investment mandates. Our investment process is heavily team-based, and the successful associate will contribute regularly and effectively to group activities. The Fixed Income Division’s research associate program utilizes an apprenticeship model and provides the participants with experience in fixed income research and investing, as well as in-depth training in particular sectors. The program is designed to last 4 years, at which time successful associates are typically positioned for more senior roles within Fidelity, the asset management industry, or top graduate programs. Qualifications We are currently seeking candidates who have the following characteristics: 0-3 years of relevant work experience; progress towards the CFA designation is a plus Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills Critical thinking and intellectual curiosity, including demonstrated interest in investing Highly organized and strong attention to detail Results-driven; self-motivated to succeed and demonstrated work ethic Ability to work and contribute as part of a team Excellent oral and written communication Location Merrimack, NH Sponsorship Fidelity Investments does not offer work visas for this role. Certifications: Category: Investment Professionals Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office.
