We are seeking a highly motivated Corporate Credit Analyst with 2–3 years of experience to join our investment team. The ideal candidate will combine fundamental credit analysis with a strong quantitative skillset to evaluate risk and identify investment opportunities across the corporate capital structure. You will be responsible for performing rigorous fundamental analysis and developing data-driven tools to enhance our credit process.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience working in and around investment teams
• Meticulous Attention to Detail: High standards for accuracy in financial modeling and document review.
• Intellectual Curiosity: A passion for financial markets and a drive to understand the drivers of credit.
• Quantitative Mindset: Ability to bridge the gap between qualitative business narratives and hard data.
• Efficiency: Capable of managing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Fundamental Credit Analysis Conduct comprehensive bottom-up fundamental research on investment-grade corporate issuers.
• Analyze business models, industry dynamics, competitive positioning, and management quality.
• Prepare detailed investment thesis and publish it on our internal research database.
• Financial Modeling Build and maintain quantitative tools for fundamental modeling, including downside sensitivity analysis and recovery valuations.
• Utilize scenario analysis to evaluate and stress test financials to bolster our credit opinion.
• Perform capital structure analysis to determine relative value across various tranches of debt.
• Quantitative Risk & Data Analysis Leverage quantitative tools to automate data collection and perform peer benchmarking.
• Develop and maintain internal credit scoring models and risk/credit surveillance dashboards.

• We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $100,000 – $130,000 USD.
• Base salary is one component of Lazard Asset Management’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
