About The Position

Position at Pilgrim's Fixed Asset Accounting Manager Responsible for Accounting support associated with Pilgrim’s Fixed Assets . This position work s closely with Engineering, Live and Plant Operations Management, Live and Plant Operational Accounting, JBS Fixed Asset Accounting, JBS Tax, and JBS Procurement regarding all Fixed Asset activities. Fixed Asset activities include budget creation, AFE creation, project closures, spend tracking, and project payback analysis. , assist and direct the development of internal control procedures, standards, and compliance as it pertains to the Sarbanes Oxley Act and to ensure adherence to generally accepted accounting principles . This position will be located at one of the Pilgrim’s facilities that is to be determined upon hire . Fixed Accounting Management including the following: AFE creation across multiple business units Project closures across multiple business units Tracking total Pilgrim’s project spend across multiple geographies Strategic project spend tracking and payback analysis Assisting operations leadership with in-depth operational trend and capital project analysis, KPI tracking, and annual budget presentations. Leading and developing digital transformation projects targeting repetitive job functions. Assisting with the development of internal control procedures, standards, and compliance. Ensuring proper segregation of duties exists and company assets are safeguarded. Coordinating preparation of yearly budgets.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years combined operational accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of SAP or comparable ERP system and Microsoft Excel
  • Must be able to examine and verify financial documents and reports.
  • Must be able to prepare a variety of financial statements, reports, and analyses.
  • Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, methods, and equipment.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations governing fiscal recordkeeping.
  • Understanding of general ledger, accounts payable, and cost accounting.
  • Knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and practices.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
  • Strong leadership and team skills.
  • Knowledge of principles of supervision, training, and performance evaluation.

  • 4-year degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
