About The Position

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Fixed Asset Accounting Manager to lead fixed asset accounting and reporting for the region. This position will support 4 CRH companies in the Midsouth Region. They will oversee the entire Fixed Asset process including capital expenditure budgeting, cost accounting, asset movement, lease accounting, etc. This position will work closely with the regional CFO, company controllers, and operational project managers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • 3–5+ years of fixed asset accounting or related experience.
  • Experience in SOX-compliant or government-reporting environments.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred industry experience in the construction, building materials, and/or aggregates industry

Responsibilities

  • Manage fixed asset accounting and reporting.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, cost adjustments, reconciliations, and depreciation.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX, IFRS, and GAAP standards.
  • Manage and oversee month-end closing process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Oversee lease accounting and reconciliation.
  • Prepare financial reports and ad-hoc analyses.
  • Manage all asset movements - additions, disposals, transfers, impairments, and retirements.
  • Supervise capital expenditure accounting.
  • Maintain internal controls and support audits.
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset ledgers.
  • Analyze data to support strategic decisions.
  • Develop and implement policies and process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with operations management, finance leadership, and accounting staff.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop three staff accountants.
