About The Position
We’re looking for an experienced fitter who can read prints, solve challenges, and keep our top-quality work on schedule and moving smoothly. This is for second shift: Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM.
Requirements
- Must be able to read blueprints, run equipment, weld, and burn
- Experience in structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid AWS D1.1 Certification required
- Candidates must be willing to join Local Union 851 if hired.
- Candidates must be currently eligible to work in the U.S. without further visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Check materials to make sure they meet customer specs and our quality standards
- Operate shop equipment as needed for the job
- Set up welders and other shop equipment
- Build fixtures and other aids to improve workflow
- Follow all company safety rules—everyone goes home safe
- Help train and guide newer crew members
- Keep your work area clean and organized
