About The Position
We are currently seeking a skilled Fitter Welder I to join a company specializing in the manufacturing of industrial equipment. This Fitter Welder role involves layout, fit-up, and welding of structural and pressure-related components while following engineering drawings and quality standards. What the Fitter Welder I Will Be Doing Clamp, hold, tack-weld, grind, and bolt components into position for welding Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations Layout and fit nozzles, supports, and couplings per blueprint into shells Remove rough spots using portable grinders, hand files, or scrapers Maintain a safe work environment and report defective tools or equipment Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures
Requirements
- Ability to pass a 3G MIG / Flux Core weld test
- Experience fitting and welding industrial equipment components
- Strong blueprint reading and layout skills
- Familiarity with grinders, clamps, and welding tools
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
