About The Position

Assists and monitors fitness center members in all aspects of exercise, including strengthening and cardiovascular, using various specific machines. Assistance with membership sales and data entry for member contracts. Help keep facility and equipment organized. Engage customers in a personal and friendly manner.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Minimum of one-year regular employment experience.
• Preferred to have a healthy exercise/fitness background.
• Must have the ability to function independently after specific job training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Assists and monitors fitness center members in all aspects of exercise, including strengthening and cardiovascular, using various specific machines.
• Orients new members to the machines and instructs them on safe operation and technique.
• Inputs and updates data into the membership computer data software system.
• Enrolls new members and processes reenrollments processing payments for membership fees and logging these amounts into the software system.
• Handles telephone and walk-in inquiries, providing information or making referrals as appropriate.
• Resets Sauna timers hourly, orders linens, folds linens occasionally.
• Restocks vending machine as needed.
• Picking up litter in parking lot 1x daily.
• Makes rounds around the facility to help pick up and restock wipes.
• Provides backup reception services to Rehab Services as needed and as instructed by their supervisor or the Rehab Services Manager or his designee.
• Performs regular and recurring cleaning and sanitation activities both to the facility and to the exercise equipment.
• Opens and closes facility as needed depending upon assigned shift and based upon the posted fitness center hours, assuring that the facilities are available to members at all regular posted hours
