Fitness Center & Recreations Attendant
About The Position
The Fitness Center & Recreations Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all members and guests utilizing the fitness and recreational facilities. This position is responsible for maintaining equipment, providing excellent customer service, and supporting the overall operation of the center. The attendant will monitor facility usage to ensure compliance with safety protocols and assist patrons with equipment use and recreational activities. They will also contribute to the upkeep of the facility by performing routine cleaning and maintenance tasks. This position involves both indoor and outdoor activities. Assists guests with a variety of fun activities across the resort grounds including: Fitness Center, Bounce House, Bumper Boats, Zipline, Go Carts and more! Monitors work area & ensures safe/proper functioning of all equipment (fitness, zipline, bumper boats, go carts, etc.) Prioritize safety and maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of fitness equipment and recreational facility operations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and cleaning.
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in a fitness center, recreational facility, or similar environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to fitness and recreation.
- Customer service experience in a health or wellness setting.
- Familiarity with computerized facility management systems.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist members and guests, providing information about facility services, programs, and equipment usage.
- Monitor the fitness center and recreational areas to ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper use of equipment.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of fitness equipment and recreational spaces to uphold hygiene standards.
- Enforce facility rules and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a secure environment for all users.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or incidents to management promptly.
- Assist in organizing and supporting recreational activities and special events as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, equipment maintenance, and incident reports.
