About The Position

Responsible for responding to incoming phone calls, correspondence, and customers who arrive in-person. Provides information to customers, and potential customers. Provides information on services offered at the center as well as membership options. Also responsible for other duties as assigned. The Fitness Assistant is responsible for the development, organization, and coordination of every customer need while working the front desk. The Fitness Assistant uses positive communication, coordination, cooperation and sets the tone for members and guest attitudes while visiting the fitness center. Enrolls members and guests in group fitness classes. Makes reservations for spa services and personal training, when applicable. Receives payments for goods and services and properly accounts for the money. Reconciles daily sales, deposits, and receipts, when applicable.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate / GED
  • At least two (2) years of experience in a hospital, medically-related environment, and/or customer- based organization preferred
  • Must be able to follow directions and perform work according to department standards when no directions are provided.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills with the ability to investigate, resolve, and follow through with all patient and billing questions.
  • Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.
  • Must be able to work weekdays and weekend shifts
