About The Position

The Fitness and Wellness Coordinator is responsible for providing leadership and supervision to the wellness staff. They will ensure all members are provided with excellent customer service in a safe and clean environment.

Requirements

Minimum one year of previous wellness or recreation experience required.
Experience in a gym, community center, YMCA, recreation center, or similar setting is ideal.
Strong verbal and written communication.
Ability to lift- up to 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. infrequently.
Must be able to legally work in the USA.

Responsibilities

Assist employees and program in the absence of the Wellness Director.
Assists members and customers on the wellness floor and the Family Center courteously.
Meets and greets members and visitors in a positive and professional manner as a representative of the RAC.
Maintains clean and professional appearance for equipment, self and facility.
Maintain wellness and fitness inventory.
Hire, train and assist in evaluation of wellness staff.
Ensure growth in member participation to achieve maximum usage of the wellness floor.
Ensure cleanliness of equipment and facility.
Attend all mandatory meetings and trainings.
Participate in member retention, special events and fundraising.
Remain up to date on emergency procedures and family center policies.
Stay current with industry trends and wellness and fitness techniques.
Comply with the company's drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policy.
All other duties as assigned.
