About The Position

Fit Ship Operator 2nd Shift The opportunity: Hitachi Energy in Alamo, TN is hiring a Fitship Operator to prepare condenser bushings for shipment. You will package and crate bushings, complete required labels and paperwork, and safely operate material-handling equipment to move finished product to the correct staging location. How you’ll make an impact: · Cross train on all Fitship tasks and rotate between job duties to meet daily production needs and provide team coverage. · Prepare shipping labels and complete required documentation. Use drawings and work instructions when needed. · Plug and sticker bushings. Remove oil buckets as required before packing. · Build terminals as needed and gather lower support parts (e.g., corona shields, bolting collars). · Set up boxes and crates for packing. Cut plastic bags to length and load plastic wrap onto the rack as needed. · Operate a screw gun, run the crane, and use a forklift to gather boxes and move packed product. · Ensure orders are packaged, staged, and placed in the appropriate lot/location. · Complete required SAP transactions to key off boxed/packed orders. · Maintain a clean, organized work area (5S) and follow all safety and quality requirements. · Provide information and support to Engineering, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Shipping as needed. · Continuously train on new equipment and new processes based on business needs and assignments.
