About The Position

As the Fiscal Analyst 1 for Student Affairs, you will work under the general supervision of the Finance/Budget Manager in Housing & Dining Financial Services. In this role, you will lead and provide exceptional customer service to students, parents, guardians, faculty, staff, and the public regarding student housing and dining contracts. You will manage student information systems and perform credit control functions related to housing and dining accounts, interpreting rules, policies, and procedures for cash handling, customer inquiries, and credit control. You will also develop and implement new procedures as needed, compute, process, and reconcile housing and dining accounts, and ensure the housing and dining website meets customer needs by collaborating with technical staff. Additionally, you will prepare reports for management, train personnel, and perform special projects as required.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent, which must include at least 18 quarter or 12 semester hours of accounting, auditing or budgeting; OR equivalent education/experience.
  • Experience extracting data and providing analysis using tools like Excel.

  • Experience with the Workday Accounting System.
  • Experience with People Soft Campus Solutions Student Financials (myWSU).
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to and experience in effectively working with diverse or multicultural populations.
