This position will oversee daily work performed in the payroll office by the payroll staff. Reviews payroll & timekeeping policies. Reviews Short-term disability payments & leave, workers compensation calculations, and FMLA leave entries. Oversees and assists with processing bi-weekly payroll - Ensuring timesheets are completed in eSTAR and manual timesheets for Emergency Response Supplemental employees. Reviews HR entries in PHRST associated with the position and payroll. Run & review payroll reconciliation reports verifying employees are in paid status, data entry & upload is correct. Research pay/timesheet discrepancies and prepare corrective action. Calculates and Researches FLSA covered promotion comp time payouts. Prepares complex Monthly, Quarterly, Annual reports for leave balances, retirement payout projections. Researches and approves all requests for on demand checks, over payment/under payment recoupments.
