About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is hiring for a First-Line Materials Management Manager (K-level) to join the team located in El Segundo, CA. Position Responsibilities: Manages and integrates employees activities across more than one area in materials management. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals. Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees. Oversee inventory compliance with DCMA and DCAA requirements Continuous engagement with policies, processes, and procedures in order to maintain Materials Management and Accounting Standards (MMAS) compliance requirements, customer expectations, and corporate accountability Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain, warehousing, or materials management.
  • 3+ years of experience establishing relationships and maintaining strong on-going communication with customers, suppliers and/or vendors
  • 3+ years of experience with Compass Contract (MRP) System and/or another MRP system
  • Experience in facilitating or helping to lead process improvement activities.
  • Active US Security Clearance
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”

  • 3+ years of experience leading a team or program
