About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is hiring for a First-Line Materials Management Manager (K-level) to join the team located in El Segundo, CA. Position Responsibilities: Manages and integrates employees activities across more than one area in materials management. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals. Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees. Oversee inventory compliance with DCMA and DCAA requirements Continuous engagement with policies, processes, and procedures in order to maintain Materials Management and Accounting Standards (MMAS) compliance requirements, customer expectations, and corporate accountability

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain, warehousing, or materials management.
  • 3+ years of experience establishing relationships and maintaining strong on-going communication with customers, suppliers and/or vendors
  • 3+ years of experience with Compass Contract (MRP) System and/or another MRP system
  • Experience in facilitating or helping to lead process improvement activities.
  • Active US Security Clearance
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience leading a team or program
