About The Position

The City of Cibolo is seeking a highly motivated Firefighter to join our team. As a key member of the Fire Department, the Firefighter will handle fire suppression, prevention, inspection, rescue, and first responder operations. Our Firefighters make a difference in our citizens’ lives by engaging with them by protecting life and property from disaster situations, including house and building fires, and promote an environment of public safety within the department response area. You have a strong work ethic and work extremely hard to accomplish the duties assigned. Going home after helping the public gives you a sense of pride. You take pleasure in using your abilities to safeguard our residents and guide them through the most trying times of their lives. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
  • Must have a valid Texas Commission of Fire Protection (TCFP) Structural Firefighter-Basic Certification
  • Must have a valid Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) EMT-Basic Certification
  • Candidates are required to submit a resume and both certifications with their application.
  • Candidates who fail to submit a resume and certifications will not be accepted.
