Requirements

Minimum of 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED
Certified Fire 1 and 2
EMR or EMT certified
Current Driver’s License
Hazmat Operations
Pass an NFPA 1582 physical examination
Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
Technology skills: operate access control system, utilize a computer for incident reports, operate security software systems or applications, use email.
Strong customer service skills, professional demeanor, and appearance.
Experience managing multiple tasks and executing radio and telephone communications while performing in a medium to high-pressure environment with frequently changing and/or competing demands.
Possess above-average written and verbal communication skills.
Possess strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with client staff and the public.

Responsibilities

Respond to fire, medical, and hazardous materials emergencies
Perform fire prevention inspections & safety training
Completes incident reports as required.
Responds to all fire/medical/security/hazmat/threat situations according to Emergency Response Plan and Standardized Operating Procedures and Medical Director Protocols.
Performs routine daily/weekly/monthly inspections on fire alarm/fire suppression/and security equipment.
Physically inspect all fire suppression systems, including but not limited to: Sprinkler System Manual and Automatic Alarm initiating devices Fire Panels Standpipe Hoses
Perform daily inspections on apparatus, security vehicles, and emergency response equipment.
Patrol facilities for fire or building code violations and additional safety hazards; report to supervisor.
Act as a weather spotter and monitor weather alerts through Sky Guard or other notification systems.
Approve and inspect all hot works and high-hazard hot works, confined space permits.
Participates in daily training on emergency response to maintain readiness.
Maintains compliance with personal Fire/Medical/Hazmat certifications as required by local mandate.
Demonstrate experience managing multiple tasks, executing radio and telephone communications, and performing in a high-pressure environment.
