Testing with the National Testing Network must have been completed within the last twelve (12) months with an overall score of 70% or better. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The incumbent must be at least 18 years old. High School Diploma or GED equivalency and certification requirements as listed above. JOB DESCRIPTION: Working under the supervision of the Captain or higher-ranking fire personnel, the incumbent performs duties to prevent and extinguish fires, protect lives and properties, maintain firefighting equipment, respond to other emergencies, and keep equipment and personnel in a state of readiness for such emergencies. The incumbent is expected to exercise sound judgment, independence, and initiative and perform according to the Fire Department and City safety rules, operating policies and procedures, and federal, state, and local regulations.
