About The Position

The primary responsibilities of this role include monitoring designated areas for potential fire hazards, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and performing dispatch duties as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong observational skills, the ability to communicate effectively, and remain calm under pressure.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Strong attention to detail and ability to remain vigilant for extended periods.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to stay calm and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
Basic computer skills for logging reports and dispatching personnel.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations.
Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor environments.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in firewatch, security, or dispatching is a plus.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to detect and report any fire hazards.
Monitor hot work areas and ensure all fire prevention measures are in place.
Maintain logs of firewatch activities and report any safety concerns.
Ensure compliance with hospital fire safety regulations and emergency procedures.
Immediately alert the appropriate personnel in case of a fire or emergency.
Receive and log calls for security, maintenance, or emergency assistance.
Dispatch appropriate personnel to incidents in a timely manner.
Maintain clear and accurate records of all dispatch communications.
Monitor security cameras and alarms for potential issues.
Provide clear and professional communication with staff, security teams, and emergency responders as needed.
