Job Description As a Security Officer - Fire Watch in Nashville, TN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a fast-paced tech campus location, you will help maintain a welcoming environment by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, completing routine patrols, staying visibly present to help reduce security-related incidents, and assisting employees and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, respond to security-related concerns, and support a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, people-first, and guided by integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a technology office or campus environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including receiving reports, coordinating with site contacts and/or first responders, and completing required documentation.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, work areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access control points and systems, including checking credentials, managing visitor and contractor entry processes, and assisting with badging and/or temporary access per site policy.
  • Observe and report unusual activity using cameras, alarms, and/or other site technology, and communicate updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision as needed.
