About The Position

Instructs & evaluates students in the Ohio Fire Academy's various training programs. Ensures student safety in classroom & on training grounds. Counsels' students & conducts skill testing (i.e., IFSAC Accreditation) Reviews, analyzes, & evaluates programs, methods, materials & equipment to ensure compliance with NFPA standards (e.g., makes recommendations to improve lesson plans, assists in setting up resident programs, provides input for new course development & updates current courses. Tracks and maintains student course records. This position will be focused on teaching the Ohio Fire Academy's Fire and EMS Certification Program.

Requirements

  • Certified as Public Safety Instructor in firefighting by Department of Public Safety pursuant to Section 4765.55 of Revised Code
  • Valid driver's license
  • Fire & EMS Job Skills
