About The Position

State Fire is currently looking for a full-time Fire Sprinkler Foreman in Salt Lake City, UT. Ideal candidates have 3-5 years experience as a fire sprinkler foreman. Your role as a Fire Sprinkler Foreman will include the following responsibilities: Lead installer for commercial contract work. Install various types of sprinkler systems, including wet pipe, dry pipe, pre-action, and deluge systems. This involves reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications to ensure the system is installed correctly. Regional travel may be required. 8, 10 or 12 hour shifts, Monday – Friday.

Requirements

3+ years fire sprinkler foreman experience.
Possess any applicable state licensing.
Knowledge of fire and building codes, OSHA, and other regulations pertaining to the job. MSHA preferred.
Basic computer and software skills.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, with acceptable driving record.
Must have and maintain an acceptable national criminal background check.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment urinalysis test.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Ability to work flexible hours and on-call, when necessary.
Ability to sit, stand, kneel, crouch or stoop for prolonged periods.
Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding and stairs.
Ability to move about in areas with limited space and difficult access.
Ability to safely lift, transport and place objects up to 70 pounds, without assistance.
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors.
Ability to use trade-specific power tools such as hand tools, saws, pipe cutters, etc.
