About The Position

State Fire stands as a leading provider in the fire protection industry, delivering top-tier expertise in the installation and servicing of a wide array of critical safety systems. State Fire is currently looking for a full-time Fire Sprinkler Foreman in Salt Lake City, UT. Ideal candidates have 3-5 years experience as a fire sprinkler foreman. Your role as a Fire Sprinkler Foreman will include the following responsibilities: Lead installer for commercial contract work. Install various types of sprinkler systems, including wet pipe, dry pipe, pre-action, and deluge systems. This involves reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications to ensure the system is installed correctly. Regional travel may be required. 8, 10 or 12 hour shifts, Monday – Friday.

Requirements

  • 3+ years fire sprinkler foreman experience.
  • Possess any applicable state licensing.
  • Knowledge of fire and building codes, OSHA, and other regulations pertaining to the job. MSHA preferred.
  • Basic computer and software skills.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, with acceptable driving record.
  • Must have and maintain an acceptable national criminal background check.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment urinalysis test.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and on-call, when necessary.
  • Ability to sit, stand, kneel, crouch or stoop for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding and stairs.
  • Ability to move about in areas with limited space and difficult access.
  • Ability to safely lift, transport and place objects up to 70 pounds, without assistance.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors.
  • Ability to use trade-specific power tools such as hand tools, saws, pipe cutters, etc.
