The Fire Safety Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and maintaining a regular inspection schedule for fire alarm system, fire sprinkler, fire suppression and other life safety systems. Job Description Documents all testing and activities for Joint Commission. Assists other skilled trades and contractors with projects. Acts as a resource for Maintenance Department staff. Performs information review training with new employees in Maintenance Department. Due to the importance of documenting technical work done, accurate and timely completion of all service reports and other documents is very important. Basic computer skills necessary. Remains current on new technology, methodology, and equipment. Knowledge of federal, state, and local codes, specifications, and ordinances.
