About The Position

Amentum, a global leader in critical mission support, engineering, technology, and national security solutions, is seeking a Fire Protection Specialist to support a government contract award based in Kings Bay, Georgia. POSITION DESCRIPTION Perform testing, maintenance and repair of fire detection and fire suppression systems and components. Coordinate with the fire department and facility personnel to test the fire alarms. Candidate must be knowledgeable in various fire alarm manufactures understand and follow all NICET requirements for compliance to state federal and local code requirements. Must have the ability to troubleshoot using a root cause mentality and understand the failure modes of the fire alarm systems and equipment. Must be able to work in a customer environment and have good communication skills.

Requirements

  • Journeyman Level Electrician, or Electronics Technician with at least 4 years’ experience working Detection and releasing systems for special hazard systems found in ammunition magazines, special use facilities and computer server rooms including alarm and detection, notification, sprinkler monitoring, and interfaces and controls for agent releasing suppression systems (either agent or water-based systems) in any of the following roles/functions: Installation Inspection Testing Commissioning Technical system estimating Plans preparation Maintenance Low voltage systems Building electrical power or control systems Special hazards systems or Smoke control systems Code compliance review
  • Must be NICET Level II or III Certified in Fire Alarms
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.
  • Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
  • Certificate/License/Registration : NICET Level II or III Certification in Fire Alarms

Responsibilities
