About The Position

The Boeing Company is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Associate Fire Protection Operations Specialist to join our team in North Charleston, SC. Boeing is looking for an experienced and motivated Fire Protection Operations Specialist to join a team of experts focused on supporting the mission to protect company people, property, and information. You will utilize standard processes, tools, and templates required to enable a compliant and robust program. The primary focus of the program is to enable effective preparation for and efficient response to emergencies and disasters to save lives and reduce property loss.

Requirements

  • Current National Registry or South Carolina State Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
  • State, IFSAC or Pro Board Firefighter 1 Certification
  • State, IFSAC or Pro Board Firefighter 2 Certification
  • Current valid driver’s license
  • Willing to work variable shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of experience working with hazardous materials
  • 1+ years of experience with building and fire codes, modern fire prevention principles, procedures and equipment
  • Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighter (ARFF) Certification
  • Fire Inspector I (CFI-I) Certification

Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned firefighting and emergency response duties in accordance with established policies, procedures, and operational protocols
  • Respond to emergency incidents to mitigate hazardous conditions through the safe and effective operation of specialized tools, equipment, and apparatus appropriate to the nature of the emergency
  • Assess emergency situations and execute appropriate courses or action within the scope of assigned qualifications, training, authority
  • Conduct routine inspections, testing and maintenance checks of fire protection systems and equipment to ensure operational readiness, regulatory compliance, and adherence to company standards
  • Complete all required reports, records, and documentation related to emergency response, inspections training, and equipment readiness
  • Support and participate in internal and external emergency preparedness, fire protection, and safety training programs to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements

  • Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
  • Summary pay range: $54,400 - $73,600
