As a Fire Protection Shop Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, testing, and refilling of fire safety equipment within our shop. You will provide vital support for our field teams through inventory management and equipment deliveries, while also assisting walk-in customers. This role includes a 6-month apprenticeship, during which you will gain the hands-on experience required to earn your Texas Fire Extinguisher License. Primary Responsibilities Extinguisher Servicing: Inspect, maintain, and service all types of fire extinguishers, including ABC dry chemical, Water, CO2, and Ansul systems. Hydrostatic Testing & Refilling: Assist in the pressurized testing of cylinders and perform the refilling of air and CO2 bottles. Field Support: Assist field technicians with loading/unloading materials and making equipment deliveries to customers or job sites. Warehouse & Inventory: Receive deliveries, manage inventory levels of warehouse supplies, and utilize forklifts or pallet jacks to move heavy materials. Customer Service: Act as a primary point of contact for walk-in customers, providing professional and helpful assistance. Shop Maintenance: Perform regular housekeeping duties to ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the shop and warehouse.
