Fire Protection Pipe Fabrication Technician

About The Position

With 100+ years behind us, we’re grounded in innovation, integrity, and uncompromising safety. A day in this role Your morning starts with a safety check and production plan. You move pipe along the fabrication table, set precise measurements, and use the right machine for each step. Throughout the day, you’ll: Cut pipe to length using a rotary chop saw and band saw, then stage materials on carts or in crates for the loading area. Create grooved ends on pipe using Victaulic or Pace grooving equipment. Thread pipe with a threader to specified dimensions. Apply fittings using a Mercury or Pace make-on machine. Cut threaded rod on a band saw and install hanger devices to exact lengths. Finish threaded rod ends on a bench grinder for proper hanger device application. Push pipe carts to the load area and prepare bundles for shipment using a pneumatic bander. Retrieve materials and move pipe by forklift when needed. Secure boxes to pallets using a pneumatic staple gun. You’ll complete required training (including safety) and demonstrate competency as defined by management. You’ll follow company policies and procedures and pitch in on additional tasks as assigned by the fabrication lead, fabrication manager, or branch operations manager. What you bring At least 3 years in a fast-paced, multitask production environment under time constraints. Welding experience is a plus, with the ability to become certified. Strong arithmetic with whole numbers and decimals; able to read a tape measure in inch increments. Basic computer skills. Requirements

At least 3 years in a fast-paced, multitask production environment under time constraints.
Strong arithmetic with whole numbers and decimals; able to read a tape measure in inch increments.
Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Welding experience is a plus, with the ability to become certified.
