About The Position
The Intern will work at applying academic education to assigned tasks on real projects of all sizes and types from concept to completion of construction. They are provided on-the-job training and mentorship from experienced engineers to learn the basics of Revit drafting / modeling and fire protection design including fire alarms, sprinkler, and other suppression systems.
Requirements
- Current student pursuing an ABET accredited bachelor’s degree in fire protection engineering, fire protection engineering technology, architectural engineering, or other engineering disciplines based on understanding of SFPE core competencies
- Desire to pursue a career in engineering consulting, specifically in life safety services
- Ability to work full time (40 hours per week) from May through August 2026
- Computer software knowledge or ability to learn, as appropriate (Revit, HASS, Hydratec, PyroSim, CONTAM, etc.)
