Fire Protection Engineer (3-5 years)
About The Position
Coffman Engineers Tampa office is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer with three to five years of experience who is passionate about their craft, wants to work on a high-functioning team, and looking for an environment that promotes professional growth. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, have a desire to work and grow with a multidiscipline engineering team, and be willing to have fun. You would be providing our clients with hazardous material fire protection, combustible dust hazard analysis, process safety analysis as well as general fire protection and life safety concepts and research.
Requirements
- BS degree in engineering or related science from accredited university
- Minimum of three years of professional experience.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Possess basic level computer skills necessary for daily activities including email, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, and a working knowledge of computer‐aided drafting and Revit, (fire dynamic simulation for fire protection engineers).
- Interest and ability to advance to a senior engineer or project manager position.
- This position is not eligible for Sponsorship
Nice To Haves
- Chemical Engineering degree desired
- Experience with the current version of AutoCAD and Revit (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Design and specify basic systems without continuous oversight.
- Perform consulting services for internal clients, utilizing Fire Protection engineering concepts.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.
