About The Position

Works under the direction of an assigned manager. Manages the planning and administration of programs and projects to ensure timely implementation, compliance, budgeting/accounting, and reporting to align with organizational goals. Participates and provides input into project budget planning and development. Estimates specific resources and personnel needs to complete projects in a timely manner. Conducts project analysis to identify both successful and unsuccessful portions of the project and proposes recommendations for improvement. Establishes project work plan and calendar to monitor and document the project’s progress. Coordinates and attends meetings by driving throughout the City to establish and maintain internal and external contacts as necessary. Provides advice to participants and serves as a liaison and resource by performing research, analyzing information, providing documentation, and preparing reports. Monitors record keeping and file maintenance. Verifies and analyzes the accuracy of all data and information used or generated by the project and resolves any discrepancies or problems. Serves as liaison for department and coordinates activities and exchanges information. Identifies strategic opportunities for projects and coordinates with other City departments and external stakeholders to implement Fire Services projects. Arranges projects that require a number of funding sources, including federal, state, local, and private funds. Monitors the development of program plans to ensure the funds are used in pursuant to funding agency requirements. Develops and administers contracts and projects in accordance with applicable standards, regulations, and reporting requirements. Manages project activities including scope of project, work plan, scheduling, deadlines, consultants, grants, and budgets. Plans and organizes project events. Prepares and submits reporting documents. Travels to meeting and work sites throughout the city.
