As a Project Manager, you’ll lead complex fire alarm, security, communications, and sprinkler installation projects across commercial, education, healthcare, and industrial facilities. You’ll be the go‑to leader from kickoff through closeout—owning results, solving problems, and delivering high‑quality projects on time and on budget.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of project management experience in fire protection, life safety, construction, sprinkler, or suppression systems
  • Strong ability to read and interpret architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel (tracking, formulas, macros)
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and self‑driven
  • Ability to handle challenging customer and field situations professionally
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of NFPA, IEC, UL, and relevant building codes
  • NICET Level I or higher
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business‑related field

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects end‑to‑end: design, permits, materials, labor, installation, and closeout
  • Be the primary point of contact for customers, engineers, architects, and inspectors
  • Build and execute project plans that protect margins and meet schedules
  • Lead Work‑in‑Progress (WIP) meetings and drive accountability
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA codes, AHJ requirements, and internal procedures
  • Manage change orders and continuously look for margin improvement opportunities
  • Oversee service contract work for a large client, including inspections, repairs, and retesting timelines
  • Apply proven Project Management methodologies across scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with field teams, customers, and leadership
  • Manage resources, provide technical guidance, and remove roadblocks
  • Maintain full financial ownership—forecasting costs, tracking progress, and managing budgets using AIA standards
  • Ensure high workmanship quality through site inspections and field engagement
  • Deliver responsive, professional customer service—even in high‑pressure situations
