About The Position

Velocity Vehicle Group (VVG) is a premium commercial brand medium to heavy truck dealership that offers a full-service experience for customers, including sales, skilled technicians for service, and on-demand parts. VVG aims to be a one-stop shop for truckers, owner-operators, fleets, and companies, complemented by their Leasing and Rental business and Financial services business, making them a leading Truck dealership. The Fire Equipment Parts Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling parts and accessories related to fire protection and suppression systems, such as extinguishers, hoses, sprinklers, valves, and related hardware. This role involves maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring customers receive timely, accurate product support and information.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in parts sales, preferably in fire protection, safety equipment, or industrial supply industries.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of fire protection systems and components.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Experience working with NFPA standards or fire protection contractors.
  • Technical knowledge of fire suppression systems and replacement components.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell fire protection equipment parts and related accessories to customers in-person, online, and over the phone.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with fire departments, safety contractors, and industrial clients.
  • Prepare price quotations, process orders, and follow up on sales inquiries.
  • Maintain product knowledge, including specifications, applications, and compatibility of parts.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure accurate inventory levels and timely order fulfillment.
  • Manage customer accounts, resolve service issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Attend industry trade shows, training, and vendor events as required.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.
