Works under the general direction of the Division Chief of Training to assist Fire Division instructors in the delivery of fire and emergency medical services (EMS) training. Collaborates with subject matter experts (SME's) to convert operational expertise into structured, standards-based curricula. Designs and develops course materials, lesson plans, examinations, and evaluation rubrics to ensure consistency across instructional staff. Incorporates active learning strategies, case studies, and scenario-based simulations to enhance learner engagement and retention. Provides coaching and instructional support to instructors in applying adult learning methodologies and best practices. Assists in the development of instructor certification, continuing education pathways, and creating leadership development. Utilizes learning analytics and evaluation data to measure outcomes, assess effectiveness, and recommend improvements to Fire Division leadership. Travels to fire stations and attends various meetings, and work sites across the City. Prepares and maintains documentation required for audits, accreditation, and regulatory compliance.
