Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with NFPA 72 and fire alarm systems.
  • Strong design, estimating, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reading architectural/electrical diagrams.
  • Ability to obtain necessary licenses.
  • Full-time availability.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years in Fire/Security system design.
  • NICET Level II or higher in Fire Alarm Systems.
  • Bachelor's in Electrical, Mechanical, or Drafting (AutoCAD), or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design fire alarm systems for commercial projects, serving as design lead and guiding CAD Support Technicians.
  • Ensure code compliance, develop technical submissions, and support project execution from design through commissioning.
  • Lead design efforts and coordinate with CAD teams.
  • Review and optimize system designs for compliance and efficiency.
  • Prepare detailed drawings, calculations, and bill of materials.
  • Support Project Managers and field teams with technical guidance.
  • Attend design and coordination meetings.
  • Mentor CAD Support Technicians and ensure quality of deliverables.
  • Track project hours and ensure alignment with estimates.
