Requirements
- Ability to make fact-based decisions and troubleshoot print and press problems to keep projects running smoothly and efficiently
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing technologies (hardware and software)
- Effective time management skills to meet deadlines on multiple long- and short-term projects
- Clear communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with a diverse group of people and personalities
- Ability to provide high levels of customer service, responding promptly and thoroughly to the inquires of internal customers
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs, as well as stand and bend throughout the shift
- Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in the English language
Nice To Haves
- One or more years’ experience in a similar role in printing
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and ISO quality systems
Responsibilities
- Performing manual and machine operator tasks as related to a variety of finishing operations
- Inspecting for printing defects, requiring close attention to detail
- Boxing completed orders produced in finishing in preparation for shipping
- Preparing appropriate quality sign-off documentation for assigned tasks
- Performing required preventive maintenance on assigned finishing equipment
- Working closely with teams/departments to create an environment that supports workflow and continuous improvements of finishing operations
