Requirements

  • Web Handling fundamentals.
  • Beginner level computer skills.
  • English language verbal and written communication skills.
  • High school math skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Demonstrate basic mechanical aptitude and problem solving abilities.
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently with team members.
  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands for handling tools and equipment.
  • Ability to lift and move objects over 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required, including close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Performs activities related to the set-up and operating the Finishing Machines following written procedures and instructions.
  • Maintain material quality throughout the slitting operation assuring print position, roll conformation and implementation of the hold procedure when necessary.
  • Identify and remove defective material utilizing flagging and inspection procedures.
  • Follow shop packet instructions and complete line verification forms.
  • Read and follow written procedures and instructions as required.
  • Label, sleeve and box finished goods.
  • Maintain an organized, clean and safe working environment.
  • Responsible for making time and quantity entries into the shop floor computer system.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
