The Manufacturing Lead is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the manufacturing team to ensure production schedules are met and products are manufactured to the highest quality standards. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control standards.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and manufacturing software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

An associate degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the Manufacturing Supervisor in coordinating the activities of the manufacturing team to ensure efficient workflow.
Monitor production schedules and help adjust assignments as necessary to meet production goals.
Ensure production processes are carried out in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
Quickly address and resolve production-related issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth operations.
Lead, mentor, and motivate the production team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Assign tasks to team members based on their skills and the needs of the production line.
Track and evaluate the performance of individual team members and the overall production line.
Assist in onboarding and training new employees on manufacturing processes, safety protocols, and company policies.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Oversee the quality of products throughout the production process to ensure they meet company standards.
Implement quality control procedures and conduct regular inspections to identify and rectify defects.
Identify inefficiencies in the production process and suggest improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Implement approved changes and monitor their effectiveness.
Report any equipment malfunctions or breakdowns immediately and assist in troubleshooting.
Promote and enforce adherence to 5S principles, ensuring that these practices become part of the company culture.
Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures.
Support regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
Maintain clear and effective communication with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
Prepare and maintain production reports, records, and documentation.
Assist in scheduling meetings, training sessions, and other events.
Help ensure that raw materials and supplies are available to meet production demands.
Assist in managing inventory levels to minimize waste and cost.
