S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to coordinate our metal finishing function. As a finisher, you'll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team. The Finishing System is a process designed to pre-treat metal (i.e., powder coat and liquid paint) to protect it from the environment. You will work in a production environment, engage in continuous productive activity and must meet requirements within predetermined time constraints. Tasks require the use of both hands and arms on a repetitive basis for a full range of motion.

Requirements

  • A working knowledge of shop math.
  • Ability to follow specific instructions and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Identify parts from blueprints to verify that they are properly tagged.
  • Have the ability to use simple material handling equipment such as powered walking stackers, storage trucks and pallet trucks.
  • Use simple measuring equipment such as tape measures.
  • Have the ability to learn proper grinding procedures to smooth welds and remove scratches from steel parts and enclosures.
  • Hanging of parts weighing up to 200 lbs. on an overhead conveyor using material handling equipment.
  • Reacting to system alarms and basic sanding procedures.
  • The work in this area is physically demanding and requires the ability to sustain a continuous work pace for extended periods.
