About The Position

The Trim Supervisor will oversee the finish/trim shop operations within the manufacturing facility, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety. This role involves managing a team, coordinating projects, and collaborating with other departments to meet production goals.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in welding preferred.
Proven experience in welding, with at least [insert number] years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and equipment.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and fumes.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Ensure all processes meet industry standards and specifications. Conduct regular inspections and audits of quality.
Promote a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting safety training for team members.
Collaborate with the production manager / plant manager to schedule and prioritize jobs based on production timelines.
Identify and implement improvements to processes and techniques to enhance efficiency and reduce waste using Lean principles.
Ensure that equipment is properly maintained and serviced regularly.
Maintain accurate records of necessary operations, including production reports, quality inspections, and employee performance.
