Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • One year of food production/preparation experience in a similar high-volume setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous culinary training or vocational certification preferred.
  • Food production/preparation experience in a three-diamond rated property or above preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares meals and other food items according to assignment by the Specialty Sous Chef or Restaurant Chef at assigned Salad/Pantry, Appetizer, or Add-On fine dining stations in accordance with fine dining standards and guest requests.
  • Works in an ala carte setting with the ability to monitor and control ticket flow and continuity of service.
  • Uses recipes and a variety of kitchen equipment to sauté, bake, boil, blanch, braise, fry, sear, and steam food to prepare and reheat soups, salads, sauces, dressings, and other food items.
  • Plate meals or other food items in accordance with plate presentation specifications.
  • Informs supervisor of any irregularities occurring within the food preparation operation.
  • Provides excellent and cooperative service to dining room staff and guests.
  • Maintains clean and sanitary work areas throughout the meal period or working shift.
  • Maintains a constant awareness of safety and accident prevention, immediately notifying the supervisor and completing an accident report in the event an accident occurs.
