This position administers Oracle EPM applications (HFM and Planning), ensuring data integrity, system stability, and timely reporting. Supports financial close and planning cycles, drives process improvements, and provides secondary support for tools such as Workiva, BlackLine, SAP, and Power Platform. It also solves complex Financial Systems problems and advances process efficiency and control. Leads small initiatives and integrates inputs from accounting, procurement, payroll, and reporting teams.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a 4-year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Typically requires 5 years of related experience working in an accounting, finance, or similar department, including experience with corporate financial systems such as supporting implementations, enhancements or upgrades, testing, report building, system administration, and extracting data sets in various formats.
  • Must reside in Southern California or be willing to relocate upon hire.
  • Excel Proficiency - Advanced Excel capabilities, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and preferably macros.
  • Initiative & Curiosity - Go‑getter attitude with the technical curiosity to independently explore, investigate, and resolve complex issues.
  • Systems Administration - Performs a variety of functions including user management, system monitoring, backup and recovery, and access control.
  • Systems Maintenance Management - Various forms of computer or server maintenance required to keep a computer system running properly.
  • Troubleshooting - A systematic approach to solving a problem.
  • Requirements Management - The process of documenting, analyzing, tracing, prioritizing and agreeing on requirements and then controlling change and communicating to relevant stakeholders.
  • Documentation & Records Management - Creating, distributing, using, maintaining and disposition of recorded information maintained as evidence of business activities and transactions.
  • Systems Configuration Management - The process of maintaining systems, such as computer hardware and software, in a desired state.
  • Data Analysis - Measuring and managing organization data, identifying methodological best practices and conducting statistical analyses.
  • Systems Testing - Testing conducted on a complete integrated system to evaluate the system's compliance with its specified requirements.
  • Systems Performance Monitoring - Measuring the performance of a system in real time in order to determine problems and other factors that may cause problems in the future.
  • Database Management - The function of managing and maintaining database management systems (DBMS) software.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support to end-users, resolving basic system issues and assists in training users on financial system functionalities.
  • Designs configuration solutions for cross‑module processes (procure‑to‑pay, order‑to‑cash, record‑to‑report) and documents decision logic.
  • Performs impact analysis (period controls, posting rules, approval paths) and recommends risk mitigations and rollback steps.
  • Leads user acceptance testing cycles and coordinates defect resolution to closure.
  • Defines data standards (naming, required attributes, validation checks) and implements reconciliations between systems.
  • Partners with internal control teams to show evidence of control operation and completes remediation tasks.
  • Facilitates requirement workshops, resolves conflicts, and documents agreed outcomes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
