About The Position

The Financial Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting and optimizing the organization’s financial technology ecosystem. This role serves as a liaison between Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure financial systems meet operational, reporting, and compliance requirements. The administrator maintains system integrity, implements enhancements, supports users, and ensures the accuracy and efficiency of financial data reporting and workflows.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or similar role
  • Technical aptitude: system configuration, data governance, integrations, workflows.
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and BI tools
  • Express confidential, ethical and professional behaviors.
  • Criminal background check that meets Agency standards

Responsibilities

  • Administer core financial systems.
  • Maintain system configurations, workflows, user roles, and security permissions.
  • Evaluate system capabilities and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop and deliver training materials, documentation and user guides.
  • Load, monitor, reconcile and analyze multiple data reporting systems.
  • Design, prepare and analyze internal and external financial reports.
  • Complete ad-hoc reporting as requested.
  • Represents the Agency in all interactions with other members of the Goodwill community and with the general public, supporting the agency Vision of creating sustainable communities that thrive through the fullest participation of their diverse residents.
  • Collaborates across functional boundaries in compiling, presenting and analyzing financial results.
  • Publishes and presents financial information both internally and externally.
  • Recommend updates and process improvements to optimize system functionality and security.
  • Troubleshoot financial systems as needed. Coordinate with staff and vendors to resolve.
  • Maximizes use of financial management systems utilizing developed skill sets through education and training.
  • Mentoring finance staff regarding key issues, updates, enhancements to realize full capabilities of financial software.
  • Conduct data reconciliation and variance analysis.
  • Prepares financial statements for management review.
  • Maintains proper internal controls including project documentation and change-management activities.
  • Create documentation and SOPs for reporting processes, data flows, and system dependencies to support audit, governance, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Knowledgeable in GAAP including new and updated accounting principles.
  • Administers and supports financial reporting tools, dashboards, and analytics platforms.
  • Publishes financial statements.
  • Prepares ad hoc financial analysis for management decision making.
  • Completes monthly general ledger account reconciliation as assigned.
  • Assists with annual audit.
  • Oversees preparation of reporting documents as requested by external users.
  • Monitor effective working of financial systems.
  • Collaborate with IT to track and configure financial system upgrades.
  • Provide financial system training to accounting staff and functional departments.
  • Maintain credit card processing system.
  • Performs research, financial modeling and cost benefit analysis.
  • Maintains financial forecasting systems and integration between general ledgers and other financial systems and databases.
  • Reconcile financial systems to reporting to ensure accuracy and integrity of reporting systems.
